Meeting federations and professional organizations

one Status of the Artist and Creator

do art or creating in this country is extremely difficult for the vast majority. Sometimes it becomes impossible. The legal framework governing our attachment to the system Social Security, the tax treatment or activity that receives our copyright by cite some crucial aspects must adapt to reality, our daily practice. We need progress on respect for good professional practice, the agreements and sectoral agreements. We need good training and constant retraining.

All these aspects have been approached by the laws of the countries most advanced in our context under the name "Status of the Artist or Creator."

Each of our sectors is making great efforts to improve the situation of their group or change any aspect of the law. But that energy is diluted and wears us down. Many of these changes depend on a legislative framework of powers and state level. Pass governments and their ministers of culture, change legislators and no transfer, or monitoring, or care.

We think it's time to meet and see if it is possible to build a broad movement of artists and creators who achieve a high degree of representation and visibility to attract attention and motivate the central government and lawmakers.
